LDN 889 Dark Nebula
Constellation: Cygnus

The bright star at the cente is Gamma Cygni (γ Cygni), also named Sadr, is a star in the northern constellation of Cygnus, forming the intersection of an asterism of five stars called the Northern Cross. Based upon parallax measurements obtained during the Hipparcos mission, it is approximately 1,800 light-years from the Sun.

This dark dust cloud LDN 889 stretching from upper center toward the lower right, obscures the light from the red emission nebula (IC 1318, also known as the Butterfly nebula) behind it. The dust cloud is about 20 light years thick. The whole complex lies in the centre of the Cygnus constellation.
